The Portland Collection, a line aimed at the bridge market from established designer, Pendleton which is a sixth generation company known for iconic textiles and and plaids. The line, completely produced in The USA is the design brainchild of three young Portland Designers, who of whom created Church & State. The basic Americana, Western wear feel that has been Pendleton's staple for the last 148 years are still very much a part of the line but a younger feel with trimmer lines has been incorporated.
Not only is the entire line produced in The United States but since Pendleton owns two of the last remaining Wool mills in the United Sates, one in Oregon and one in Washington, they are able to use wool from sheep residing in the same area to complete their designs.
While wool is naturally a renewable and sustainable fiber, Pendleton also uses 100% virgin Wool, which means the wool has not been used in any other product making it recyclable and compostable and is certified by the MBDC.
The first season for the new collection is this fall and I am so excited for Olive's first delivery in October!! Stay tuned for arrival dates and information!! And remember you can shop24/7 on www.theecofashionista.com
